The top has marks in a somewhat triangular area
on top of this base,
with three screwholes as shown in topside photo
one near each front corner,
and one center back.
Distance betweeen the holes is as follows:
From the back screwhole to each of the front coner holes
center to center is 4";
between the two front corner screwholes is 5-3/8" center to center.
The box is in reasonable condition for its age.
Clip-in back is missing.
Inside, the printing on the floor is very faint,
but with intense scrutiny,
you can see "Altar" and a faint shadowing of "clock"
on the left.
Also lightly visible on the right is
"Homan
Mfg Co."
and possibly "Cinncinati, Ohio".
Interesting piece!

Overall measurements are about
8" wide x 5-3/4" deep x 5" high.
