1) Truly handsome Zenith 5R316 radio.
Super-Heterodyne. AC.
Wood case with inlaid arrow-grain veneer.
1938 Art Deco styling.

This radio does not have a cord and is assumed to
be nonfunctional and in need of repairs.

Terrific contrasting and slant-grained laminate around center.

Clean, sleek Art Deco lines
with plastic assumed to be Bakelite
on the buttons, knobs, and framing the dial.

Top has slight roughness,
but is in reasonably good vintage condition
with original finish.
Note the back corners
which each have a small piece of laminate missing.

Inside is quite rough and may or may not be salvageable.
No electric cord.

Dial face and lens are intact.
No damage to Bakelite dial frame.
Grill fabric has some darkening, but with no tears.
Buttons and knobs are present,
although knobs each have a flange chip.
